Hosmer Winery is celebrating our 25th Anniversary this year. Join the merriment at our fall extravaganza, “Some Like It Hot”, on Saturday, September 11. The festivities will be held outside overlooking our lush vineyards. We will have a Basil Pesto Taste-Off, live entertainment, local cuisine available á la carte, wine by the glass or bottle, great wine specials and much more. Several local artisans will be showcasing their hand-crafted specialties including quilts, pottery, and hot pepper jellies to name a few. The event starts at noon, an admission is free. Bring along your lawn chair and plan to spend the afternoon.

A few highlights of our first 25 years include:

  • Moving into our tasting room facility from the tiny garage in the Hosmer's front yard back in August of 1990
  • Winning the coveted Governor's Cup at the NY Wine and Food Classic in 2002 for our Dry Riesling
  • Officially becoming an Estate winery with the purchase of our first mechanical grape harvester
  • Being named a Lake Friendly Farm in 2008
  • Having two wines, Riesling and Vintner's Reserve Riesling, acknowledged as Top 10 USA produced Rieslings at the 2008  International Riesling Challenge held in Canberra, Australia and then repeating our recognition at this prestigious competition for the Riesling again in 2009 with a Silver Medal.
