"Best of Category" 2013 Sauvignon Blanc

The big news around Hosmer Winery is our win in the "Best Of Category" at the New York Wine and Food Classic with our 2013 Sauvignon Blanc. This is especially exciting for us as it is the first full production of Sauvignon Blanc we have made at the winery and it was the first Sauvignon Blanc Hosmer winemaker Aaron Roisen made in the Finger Lakes. Aaron Roisen was trained at the  Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology in New Zealand where the first wine he ever made was Sauvignon Blanc. From there he went on to make wine for some of the most revered wineries in New Zealand before relocated to the Finger Lakes in 2003.
Hosmer 2013 Sauvignon Blanc, bright with fruity acidity, begins with aromatics of box tree and tea berry moving quickly to gooseberry and clover. The front of the palate is bright and taut with fresh honeydew melon moving to mango and lemongrass. The finish is mouth watering and fulfilling with a faint breath of sweet French oak.
