Winter Tasting Changes
Unfortunately in upstate NY, this is not a topic we can ignore – cold weather! This means that our usual outdoor area will be closed as the colder weather sets in. This being said, our tasting protocol will be changing.
Beginning November 2nd:
Reservations are necessary for tastings
We have a new reservation system that allows you to make your reservation seamlessly online here.
The maximum group size is 6 people
Now that we are offering seated tasting indoor, we cannot accommodate groups larger than 6 people. We appreciate your understanding at this time in order to remain safe and distant. We will not be splitting larger groups.
Tastings are $12 per person
Tastings will include 5 wines, a souvenir wine glass, a small tray of food, and an educational & intimate experience with one of our associates. We recommend blocking between 35-45 minutes for a tasting here at Hosmer in order to receive the full experience.
Additional add-ons are available
Our new reservation system allows us to offer you more variables with your tasting. We will be offering an additional charcuterie board made up of local ingredients, and other seasonal pairings you can add to your tasting.

FAQ’s for booking a tasting:
We are a Hosmer Vintage Member or a Wine Club Member, what does that mean for my free tastings now?
They are still complimentary! The only difference is the glass is returned to us. (You may keep it for $2). To make a reservation, please call us to receive your complimentary tastings.
I am bringing a group of 8 but only 5 of us are tasting, how do I make a reservation?
For this instance, please call us. We need to make sure that we reserve enough room for all of your guests to sit safely and still follow our guidelines as we have laid them out.
Are dogs allowed inside your winery now?
Yes! We ask that your dog remains on a leash and well behaved in the tasting room. It is your responsibility to maintain social distancing if someone would like to visit your pup.
What about children?
Children are welcome as long as they also remain seated and well behaved. We usually have some ice pops on hand for the kiddos.
Are you accepting walk-ins?
Yes, we are accepting walk-ins. If we have room between our reservations we will accept guests. Reservations are recommended to make sure we can get you in.
What if we want to just come and get a glass of wine?
We have a few areas in our tasting room with socially-distanced tables and stools to enjoy glasses or bottles.
