Assistant Tasting Room Manager:
Hosmer Winery is seeking an Assistant Tasting Room Manager. As our Assistant Tasting Room Manager, you will work closely with the Tasting Room Manager on daily operations and events.
Our ideal candidate will have an interest in and experience with wine. The right candidate will also have a passion for hospitality and be able to offer guests a memorable tasting experience. As our Assistant Tasting Room Manager, you will bring professionalism and passion to our team.
Our ideal Assistant Tasting Room Manager is somebody who:

You will be responsible for (but are not limited to):
Completing opening tasks to get retail shop ready for the day
- Stocking wine, apparel, food, and other merchandise as needed
- Preparing charcuterie boards for the day
- Stocking taster bottles in tasting fridges
- Copying tasting and flight sheets
- Ensuring all products available for purchase are sufficiently stocked throughout the day in wine racks, product shelves, refrigerators, clothing cubbies, etc.
- Greeting customers as they arrive and promptly addressing their needs
- Communicating with Tasting Room Manager when any inventory is beginning to get low
- Making sure all tasting bars are stocked with adequate supplies (tasting bottles in the fridge, charcuterie boards for the day, bags and boxes for wine purchases, bags for wine glasses, slushie cups, etc.)
- Completing and delegating daily closing tasks
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Taking out garbage’s
- Wiping down all bars
- Gassing and dating all open bottles
- Counting drawers
- Writing accurate deposit slips
- Ensuring all doors and windows are closed and locked
- Being lead manager when other managers are off-duty
- Being a keyholder (opening in the morning and locking up at the end of the day), or being called on to open or close if no one else is available.
- Data entry and Office work, as needed
- Leading by example! (limited phone use, cleaning, getting all daily tasks done with quality performance, organizing and helping all staff, asking for more tasks, etc.)
This is a full-time position. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Tasting Room Associate:
This position will range in hours each week depending on reservations, but the position will be 3-5 days/week. The ideal candidate should:
- Feel comfortable conversing with people
- Be willing to learn about the wine industry
- Stand for extended periods of time and be able to list up to 50lbs
- Have a friendly and welcoming attitude
Duties include:
- Engage with guests to provide world-class customer service
- Prepare wine flights & perform 1-on-1 educational tastings
- Handle cash and register transactions
- Stock and maintain the cleanliness of the tasting room
- Take direction from the Tasting Room Manager and Assistant Managers
